This magical Japanese bread snack takes almost no effort and can include any ingredients you want!
Pizza Toast (ピザトースト) was invented in a Japanese cafe in the 1950s and is now an extremely common type of bread snack that can be found in bakeries across Japan.
There is no “correct” way to make pizza toast. All bakeries and home cooks have their own favorite way of making this but the binding factor is that it’s bread (usually sliced bread, but even this can vary) that has been toasted with pizza-like toppings. It’s a great dish to use up ingredients in the fridge or to make for kids if you want to hide some vegetables in something easy to eat and delicious.
Have fun while making this and put all your favorite things on it!
