A fun ice cream flavor using a favorite Japanese snack: POCKY! This Honey and Strawberry Pocky Ice Cream tastes like frozen nostalgia.
Have you had Pocky before? They are biscuit sticks that are coated in different flavors of frosting (like chocolate or strawberry) – and have been one of Japan’s most popular snacks since the 1960s. I feel a lot of nostalgia around Pocky since I grew up eating them (they are my plane snack of choice) so I was super excited to team up with them to create this recipe!
I wanted to make an ice cream that was light but really tasted like Pocky. Honestly, I didn’t expect this to turn out well at all but it’s now honestly one of my favorite ice cream flavors of all time. It’s sort of like a fruity cookies and cream kind of vibe.
You can get Pocky at most American grocery stores now as well as from Asian markets. You can also order it online below in my “Shop this post” section. If you need an ice cream maker, my favorite one is listed on my Tools page or down below as well.
